Teacher Certification Recruitment and Retention Plan

Woodson ISD is committed to ensuring every foundation curriculum class is taught by an appropriately certified teacher, in alignment with TEA requirements. Due to ongoing statewide teacher shortages that especially impact rural districts, the Board of Trustees has approved a district plan outlining how Woodson ISD will recruit, support, and retain certified educators and ensure full certification compliance no later than the start of the 2029–2030 school year.
