The Woodson Cowboys and Cowgirls are prepping for another season of basketball. Eight girls have come out to play for the Cowgirls, who are striving to repeat last year's playoff appearance. The Cowgirls are led by first year head coach, Kade Kitttley. The girls had their first game on the 8th against the Strawn Lady Hounds. The girls, a little shorthanded, played their hearts out the entire game. But, they could not recover from the early deficit. The Cowboys started practicing this week and they are looking forward to another great year. The 'boys are returning all five starters from a team that went to the Area Playoff game last year. The JV boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity guys will all be playing next Tuesday against Perrin-Whitt, here at the Danny Bellah Physical Education Center. We hope to see everyone there cheering these athletes on.
