New Faces of 2011
October 02, 2011
The Ag building now has a new occupant, Ron Abner. Mr. Abner has been hired to replace the retired Charles Jones. Mr. Abner was born in Denison, Texas and attended high school in Durant, Oklahoma. His entire life he dreamed of becoming a rancher, so he went to Sul Ross University to become one. When he's not found at school Mr. Abner enjoys hunting and fishing with his family, or his personal favorite, working cattle. He is married with a daughter, son, and a grandson. Mr. Abner is a great addition to our school.
Lacey Lemons has found her place in Woodson. Miss. Lemmons was born in Muenster and grew up in Nocona. She attended Midwestern State University where she majored in science. Miss. Lemons is spreading her knowledge to the Junior High science classes. As a child, Miss. Lemons wanted to be an actress, but now she is teaching Theater Arts and making actors and actresses out of the students. In her spare time, she likes to run, go to the lake, and vacation. We are happy to have Miss. Lemons in our faculty.
The newest addition to our coaching staff is former Rule Bobcat, Kade Kittley. Coach Kittley, our new assistant football coach, was born in Stamford and went to school in Rule. He dreamed of playing in the NFL. After graduating, he attended West Texas A&M and majored in sports and exercise science. Coach Kittley is teaching fifth and sixth grade health, seventh and eighth grade history, and P.E. He plays video games, hunts, and spends time with his fiancé Jaci in his spare time. We hope that Coach Kittley will bring a much needed spark to our athletics.
Mrs. Donna Hardin was born in Fort Worth, grew up in Crowell, and is now teaching in Woodson, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University and attained her Bachelor’s in Restaurant and Hotel Management. She then got her Graduate’s degree in Elementary teaching. Mrs. Hardin focuses on the third grade here at Woodson. Her hobbies include: shopping and playing sports. Mrs. Hardin has one daughter who is attending school here. We are glad Mrs. Hardin is here to prepare the younger students.
Katrina Briles, Throckmorton native, has come to Woodson to take over the high school science classes. Mrs. Briles grew up in Throckmorton where she has taught for most of her career. Her only dream as a child was to become successful. She majored in Composite Science at Texas Tech University. She enjoys listening to Texas Country music throughout the day. Mrs. Briles and her husband Keith have three children. We hope Mrs. Briles can broaden our education in science while she is here.
Lynsey Oliver, born in and raised in Mineral Wells, Texas is now living in Jacksboro and teaching here at Woodson. The young Mrs. Oliver dreamed of being a judge. She attended Midwestern State and majored in Criminal justice with a minor in Physiology. She somehow ended up teaching seventh to twelfth grade math. In her spare time she enjoys playing and watching cartoons with her son, Ethan.
