Mrs. Tacy Ellis

We are Tacy, Mark, and Claire Marie Ellis! Our older children, Sarah and Drew, both attended WISD! Drew lives in Throckmorton with his wife, Nicole and their son, Chess. Sarah is in Austin. We are farmers and ranchers and builders. We love agriculture and we love Woodson! We are so glad that God brought us back home. My husband's family, the Trimble Family, has been in and around Woodson since the 1920's. I grew up as an "Air Force Brat" and when we settled in Peaster, Mark and I met in 1974, when I was an eighth grader. We married in 1980. In 1983, I was driving through from a job interview in Bryson and stopped to see if WISD had a job for me, IT DID! They hired me on the spot and the first five years of teaching special education and agriculture, and some art, happened! I taught again at Woodson in 2004 - 2011, teaching English, science, theater arts, speech and any subject assigned! After moving to be with family, to Poolville, I retired after 25 years, and we sold our home to return to Woodson for the rest of our lives! I laid out one year and then was blessed to be asked to join the staff once again and hope to stay for as many years as I am able! I love to teach, gain knowledge daily, and share knowledge with my students to build a love of learning...for life.
